No, SJWs get plenty angry when white people are cast as Asian characters. See The Last Airbender, every Hollywood movie based on an anime, the upcoming live-action Disney's Mulan -- which hasn't been cast yet, but still has people shaking in fear in advance that they'll cast white people in it.

They certainly weren't upset at Elizabeth Banks playing Rita Repulsa. Or the all-Asian cast of Big Hero 6 reduced to two Asian characters.

I've seen people who absolutely were offended by those cases, though, so I mean. Generalizations like this don't really work.

Elizabeth Banks is the best choice for Rita. Also Rita was played by a latina since season 2 in america, this wasn't the first time she was asianerased.

The actress who played her came from the Philippines and IMDb pro lists her ethnicity as being part Asian so...?

Where were you during the Big Hero 6 thing? Man, the racewank was absolutely everywhere for about 6 months.

You missed the Big Hero 6 wank?

Given the history of Asian Villainesses, I think it's better that Rita isn't Asian (Elisabeth Banks will tear up that role.) but I will say there are a lot of people who were mad about Asian erasure in Airbender, especially given that M Night Shyamalan was directing,as well as the other racebends that have happened lately.

As a Black person, I'm ashamed that my community has been quiet on this. I want more Black representation in the media but I agree that Asians and other groups have it worse. Chris Rock let me down with that crappy accountant joke at the Oscars. He had a perfect moment to bring that up and instead he took a shit on stage.

They get angry when white people are cast to play Asian characters because that's a reason to go after white people. They only give a fuck about Asians when they can be used as a weapon to bludgeon white people. When it comes to actually helping Asians or even acknowledging the issues they face, they don't give a fuck.
