tw weight

(Anonymous) 2016-03-13 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's funny, I can look back on photos from years ago and objectively see that I've put on a pretty substantial amount of weight compared to then. But I don't feel any different to how I did then. I don't mean that I still feel skinny; I mean that I already felt really fat before I put the weight on, when my body was - at worst - chubby and a little awkward. And, like, everyone I talked to about it back then was also completely willing to buy into that narrative. That's just... really weird to me.

I suppose this isn't that terribly uncommon, but I never really realized how true it is for me until just now, sorry.

I feel the same way. For the most part I just feel like the same person. I know I weigh more, though for the most part I was always a larger girl even as a child. And I've never felt attractive so I don't really feel any different.

Except for a few photos from third and fourth grade where I look like a stick. I had an eating disorder due to a fear of choking. And I look super unhealthy and it is actually scary because you can see my bones.
