I wonder what people would whine more about, NA wizards or her completely ignoring NAs or implying that they are not advanced/smart enough to be wizards.

That's an easy flip thing to say, and it's true that there are always some people who complain about everything but come on... no way would she be facing the same kind of backlash if the NA wizards had been handled well. Rowling's been damn near untouchable until now, or as close as it gets for someone with her level of fame.

But nothing she could have done would be considered handling it well. She could have done exactly what essays are saying she should have done, and the people writing the essays would be mad at her for being a white person making money off accurate depictions of their culture.

There'll always be some criticism but no come on people would definitely be reacting differently. I mean, wouldn't your logic apply to any critical discussions?

Yes. I understand that many people who dislike those essays and SJWs believe this. I'm not sure if I'm convinced of the implication that there's no point in trying to do a good job because there'll always be people who complain, though.
