Things that you're pretty relaxed about?

(that other people usually aren't)

in contrast to the above thread

Grammar and spelling, especially in casual use. As long as I understand it, I'm good to go.

Me too. I love the English language, but I don't think abbreviations or even misspellings are destroying it or anything.

99% of fandom things. I could not give less fucks about what you ship or your fanon as long as you don't try to insist it is true or harass creators/actors.

Yes. And also as long as you don't tell other people they are doing fandom wrong.

oh definitely. Don't harass the creators/actors.

Same for podcasts or any time there is a Q&A. I get so much secondhand embarrassment at most Q&As.

Yup, we don't have to like the same things at all but good lord let me just enjoy them in peace.

Yeah, same. A long time ago I wasn't but now, who cares...? It's pretendy funtimes. People can like what I hate and I'll just scroll on by. Do your thing. Also, son, you didn't ask the original creator's permission to draw art of their characters, I guarantee it. If someone turns your image into an icon - and credits you - they didn't "steal" your art any more than you "stole" somebody's character.

This. So much. I just *do not care*, so long as you're not trying to shove your 500,000 word erotic incestual fan-fic into an actor's face.

Unauthorized use or copy of my creative works. I've accepted that part of putting my stuff online means that someone, somewhere, will probably copy it or use my works in some way without asking permission. So I don't get my jimmies rustled over it.

It really seems to bother a lot of people though.

Yeah, pretty much. It's kinda lame when people claim them as their own, but they'll get figured out eventually and it's usually oblivious kids anyway.

People texting/using their phones when they're "with other people and should be socializing." For all you know, someone's sister's in labor or their father's having open heart surgery and they're keeping tabs.

Although it was a little unnerving when I went to the cafeteria of a college recently, and 70% of the kids were looking at their phones. But honestly, when I was in school half the time people were reading their textbooks or listening to their iPod nanos. Even when they were with friends. It's just a new thing to be distracted by.

People hitting my car, apparently. Of course, I'd be pissed if there was severe damage, but if someone just dinged my car a little as they were backing out and apologized, I'd forgive them unless they were being a butthole about it or decided to leave without apologizing.

Minor topographical and cultural errors in fic. Don't get me wrong -- I'm going to facepalm if your character drives from NYC to Pittsburgh in an hour, but I just can't work up a rage over someone messing up the house-numbering system on a specific street or accidentally putting their hipster coffee shop in the middle of a senior housing complex.
