For Doctor Who, I actually don't have a go-to episode. Instead, I try to figure out what they would like based on their general preferences; do they like funny stories, scary stories, adventure stories? Is there a particular actor I know they like?

(Doctor Who has had so many different eras that it is impossible to find a "typical" episode, anyway.)
