Re: What's the strangest thing you ever bought...

Considering what I normally wear, a pair of suede Gucci peep-toe heels, for closet cosplay. Lots of weird stuff for cosplay, including an embroidery machine. Runner up is I bought a pack of daylilies because they had "Jedi" in the name. But then, there're so many daylily cultivars I used to amuse myself by looking up favorite characters to see if they had a daylily named for them. Oh, and sometimes David Austin roses because Shakespeare. And I used to have a Violet Carson because V for Vendetta, but it died and I can't get another one because the only nursery in the US that sold it went out of business. Anyone want to send me a cutting from Australia? (It's also a pretty rose, but I could see why they made up a red version for the movie. For one, I can't see explaining that the rose was named for an obscure actress, so it's not actually violet, it's peachy pink.)
