I had nightmares about some childhood traumatic stuff that I'd forgotten about and then had to take a painkiller even though I've not been taking them because I was in so much pain.

But now I'm happily doped up. And an awesome person on my Tumblr wrote a fic for me and I'm doing better and going to take a nap I think. And hopefully have some happier dreams.

Awww yeah fic presents are the literal best presents.

I wouldn't count on the happier dreams if you're all narc'd up though, just fyi. One time I was all chilled out on slightly too much (or just enough) morphine while in hospital and I woke up frankly hysterical because I had a dream that a childhood friend of my brother's pushed me down a hill.

...Yep. Drugs, man.

We'll see. Sometimes I do have good dreams on painkillers. Or, for some reason, a lot of x-rated dreams. Not sure why. But even the painkiller nightmares just end up being weird and make no sense. And I'll take that over dreams about actual events that I'd rather forget any day.

Drugs do weird things to your system, though. I hate taking them, but I didn't have a choice.

Yes, fic presents are the best. And it was a happy, fluffy fic too featuring my favorite character getting some sweet moments with his father and grandfather.
