Things that you used to not like, but like now

(Anonymous) 2016-03-20 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Mine below!

CollegeHumor

(Anonymous) 2016-03-20 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if it's because the writers aren't in college/writing for college kids anymore, and thus the humor's better, but CollegeHumor is actually hilarious now. It used to be that there were some funny skits, but most of them weren't.

Unless my sense of humor changed, and/or I never gave them a chance before.

Agreed. A lot of the old stuff was pretty dumb, I thought - like, sort of frat boy humor? Maybe it is because the writers are older now, or the humor is just better, but I like a lot of their stuff now.

Oh same here. When I was a kid I had a huge rebellion against pink and 'girly' things in general but as I got older I realised how dumb I was being and stopped erasing a colour choice from my wardrobe(that I actually liked) just to make a point.

These days I have a lot of stuff with pink on because I like it.

I think one of the reasons why my first favourite colour was blue is because of a subtle rebellion against the blue-is-for-boys/pink-is-for-girls stereotype.

I still dislike light, rosy, "sweet" pinks, but a good deep hot pink is a great colour.

Watching con videos of actors/creating talking about stuff and answering questions.

Mug cakes. That was the last thing I ate before I got my stomach bug from hell. So now my body associates them with extreme vomiting. Hopefully this changes at time passes.

Action movies. I never used to like/enjoy them. But then I watched the Bourne trilogy. I enjoy them now. Not sure what changed.

Country music.

It was what my parents listened to when I was young, so I rebelled against it and thought it was terrible. After college, I would be at home with my mom and we'd be watching the music videos every weekend and then I started going to concerts, and I sort of just fell in to being a huge fan of it.

Brussels sprouts. Probably because my mother only ever cooked them by boiling them with no seasoning whatsoever, so they'd end up these...mushy weirdly sour awful things that I just figured I'd always hate them.

But now that I've had them broiled after being tossed with olive oil, salt, and a bit of smoked paprika...hnnnnngh. Deliciousness.

Supernatural.

When I first tried watching it in 2005, I bounced HARD off it. But now a friend has gotten me to give it another shot, and I am really enjoying it!
