I get self-conscious about liking stuff because there are people I know IRL who know many of my social media accounts. Our fandom interests have grown apart over time and they would absolutely judge me for what I'm into now. I need to care less about what they think, but they're very opinionated and I can't escape them in the real world, so I just don't like things at all. I'm probably going to get new Twitter and Tumblr accounts soon...

On tumblr at least, you can make your "likes" private so no one has to know what posts you like (although, of course, they can see the ones that you reblog)

no problem. it's right under https://www.tumblr.com/settings/blog/[blog name] if you haven't found it yet. Even so, making a tumblr that people irl don't know about might still be a good idea. Tumblr is so much more fun when you can reblog whatever you want without giving a fuck what people think
