On tumblr at least, you can make your "likes" private so no one has to know what posts you like (although, of course, they can see the ones that you reblog)

no problem. it's right under https://www.tumblr.com/settings/blog/[blog name] if you haven't found it yet. Even so, making a tumblr that people irl don't know about might still be a good idea. Tumblr is so much more fun when you can reblog whatever you want without giving a fuck what people think
