How is this not gender stereotyping?

I didn't say all men and women and I didn't say it was inherent. But a lot of socialization tells men their dicks are awesome and makes them better than those without dicks. And a lot of socialization tells women their bodies are/should be hot except for their sex organs which are kind of icky and they shouldn't like that part of their body. And many men and women buy into that.

nayrt but while I agree that the penis has a history of being a power symbol, I don't think society worships all dicks. There's a huge thing about long dicks being good, short dicks being bad. A lot of guys are really insecure about their dicks if they think they aren't long enough.

And I'm not sure the vagina has an image of being "icky" so much as it's a less familiar thing?

As a dick haver, I would say that I feel society is constantly telling me my dick is not good enough. It tells me my dick "Should" be an icon of power, not that it is, and if you're not a big badass pussy-crushing alpha-dominating badass of a man, its because you have a small and inefficient dick and you need to get status symbols to cover it up or women will never look at you like they look at real men.

They're not arguing against it being sexist against women, they're arguing against the idea that men are taught to love their dicks.

That's just not the way the world works, and I think you might actually have some serious mental problems if this is what you think society is telling you.

Uh, as a vagina-haver, that sounds about right to me. It's not all of society but it's a very vocal component. So many men think the size of their dick is part of their self-worth and they're very vocal about it. Women don't help either - when guys and gals get into an argument, especially if it's about gender, it's never surprising for a woman to insult him by telling him he must have a small dick. It's kind of funny if the thing they're arguing about is dicks, of course (like the guy telling all the women around that they obviously want to ride his huge cock and if they say they don't they don't really know what they want) but otherwise it's just out of the blue and reinforcing this message.

A penis is inherently a good thing to have, even the worst penis is still held up as a symbol of greatness. It's not that society is telling him his dick isn't good enough, its that he wants his dick to be better than every male around him. Just like every other male. What they have isn't good enough if someone anywhere has better. It's a primitive pissing contest and he wants sympathy for how he isn't winning it, when women are talking about how they legitimately suffer with how society treats their bodies?

So what you're saying is that because society is sexist it means that the stupid standards men hold up for each other no longer count as bad because women, on average, have it worse?

It...it kind of is, though? Men are taught their self-worth is tied to their dicks, but they're also taught only certain dicks are good. Why do you think so many guys have complexes about the size and shape of their penises?
