April Fool's Day I'm guessing.

There are ways to prank that aren't spiteful. Basically all you have to do is put yourself in the place of your "victim". If you would hate it done to you, don't do it to them.

IMO, a good prank is something that is just the most minor of inconveniences and causes at worst a moment of harmless confusion.

For example: switching the insides of cereal boxes,but make sure that the "replacement" is safe for people in the house as well. Like one grain or corn based cereal for another.

That only works if you are honest, completely understand your victim, and half even a modicum of self awareness. You need all three, but if you have any two out of three then you'll understand pranks and practical jokes are not really funny because inherent in them is the invitation to laugh at someone without their prior consent.

Won't work. The lengths I will go to prank someone are extreme. A prank today on my ill girlfriend involved me dealing with an awful lot of piss.
