Also, I've said this recently but it bears repeating: A Scanner Darkly is an amazingly strong indictment of both the War on Drugs and drug culture.

Conversely American football is impenetrable to me compared to soccer or rugby. There's also an added resentment factor which doesn't help.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-29 12:18 am (UTC)(link)The rules are a little more complicated to explain (although I think it's understandable to anyone who knows baseball, and I'll probably try and post an explanation when I'm not on a phone). But in general, as to the appeal, just assume that it's the same things that draw you to baseball.
