Re: Bat things turned good
So even though the whole thing was frustrating I've discovered something that I wouldn't have otherwise found out.
The funny thing is my dad just told me that hypothyroidism actually runs in my family. Which I didn't know, or I would have gotten tested earlier.
Re: Bat things turned good
(Anonymous) 2016-03-31 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)I've suffered with hypothyroidism for 20+ years, it's manageable but you gotta keep a good eye on it. and so very individual, so keep an eye on how your actual TSH numbers correspond to your symptoms, and don't let any doctor talk you into easing off your meds because your tests are in what is being called "normal" this month. Your symptoms don't lie, so if you find yourself sliding back to feeling like you're not even on the medication, absolutely insist on more tests and knowing the numbers.
Re: Bat things turned good
This doctor said, though, that now even with low but normal levels they sometimes medicate.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-01 12:05 am (UTC)(link)Thyriod, parathyroid and your adrenal glands are all connected (and the adrenal glands are connected to a bunch more glands too) so you can't really treat one without treating the others.
the body is a topsy turvy crazy place when it comes to hormones.
