Bachalorette Party gift?

(Anonymous) 2016-04-03 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
So I'm going to a bachelorette party next week. And we're supposed to bring sexy gifts. I don't want to bring lingerie both because probably most other people will bring that and because I kind of feel like that is more of a gift for him and I'd rather get something for both of them.

But I'm related to the bride, so I don't want to get say a vibrator or something like that.

Is there something else that I could get that isn't underwear and isn't a sex toy?

Vagina-shaped lollipops or something? Everyone likes lollipops.

A gift certificate to a sex-toy store; this way you don't need to make assumptions (or even have knowledge!) of what they would like.

I really love this idea. What sites do you think would be the best option?

Adam and Eve is probably your best bet, lots of variety and brands.

NAYRT so sorry for butting in but SHEVIBEEEEEEEEE. If you're in the USA, the Shevibe giftcard is perfect. Shevibe is a GREAT site, offers things cheaper than anywhere else, stocks a TON of great stuff, etc. If you really want to splurge on her, $100 or $150 in a giftcard is enough to buy at least one of like 85% of what they have on that site. The site has everything from porn, bondage stuff, lubes and other accessories, dildos, vibrators, toys for couples, toys for guys if she and/or her SO are into that, everything and anything. I use this site a lot and can personally vouch for how incredible it is.

Handcuffs?

Musky, rich candles. A package of nice silky ribbons (not to be used for full tying, mostly as decoration and teasing). A really quality massage oil.

And a box of macaroni shaped like dongs.

This is pretty subjective but I prefer unscented candles. Perfumes bother my allergies and I HATE "musky" odors.

One of those dice sets that have a body part on one and an action (kiss, lick etc.) On the other? Can be used for sexy times, can also have hilarious results, is sex related but not overtly "lewd" like a vibrator, and it's something for both of them.

a cook book with supposed aphoradisiacs as ingredients. "Intercourses" Terrace Publishing by Martha Hopkins and Randall Lockridge

of all the things given to my sister at her "sexy" bridal shower... that's the one thing I wanted. I don't know if my sister ever even USED it.

This is a genius idea and one I will have to keep for future reference. Thanks for the tip!

Penis gummies. Or a penis cake pan. Something that you can find at Spencer's (if you have one) that has a penis on it basically.

Maybe go classy and interpret "sexy" as "romantic" with a nice bottle of wine/champagne and two glasses?

Or go gag gift with a copy of 50 Shades of Gray, a paddle and a box of tampons?

I got my friend a fancy bottle of perfume for her bachelorette party (the old fashioned bottle with atomizer) and it was a big hit!

I'd be sure the bachelorette actually likes perfume, though. I hate it and never wear it. Other people who are into perfume might be picky about what scents they wear.

Why is lingerie a gift for him and not both of them?? (though you are probably right that other people will get it)

ETA: now that I think about it - how well do you know the other guests? if you know them fairly well, you can ask them what they're getting and either ask for ideas from them (like things they passed over) or coordinate something with someone, and at the least make sure you don't get something redundant.

I guess because it's to make her look good, presumably to make the guy happy?

I guess it's a gift for both of them if you believe that thing about men being turned on by attractive women and women being turned on by being attractive to men, but it doesn't work that way for everyone.

idk I wear really plain undergarments and am not currently sexually active but I hear women talk all the time about how they wear pretty undies for themselves. And a person can enjoy being attractive for their partner for other reasons beyond it giving them a (lady)boner of their own. I definitely don't buy into that simplistic view of attraction that you apparently also don't buy into (yay, we agree!) but that doesn't mean you can't be motivated to look nice for your partner or just enjoy looking at yourself in the mirror and going "yeah, I'm sexy!"

Note to self: never have bachelorette party.

(Not that I object to parties or sexy toys, but the idea of people I have non-sexy relationships with giving me sexy gifts as a joke seems very not-fun to me. If I get married, I guarantee I will have had sex with the guy before there was even the possibility of an engagement, so sex would seem like a weird thing to focus on right before the wedding.)

I hired a stripper...

Inappropriate party games? Pin the dick on the man etc. it doesn't have to be stuff that will be used in the future. One time things like lollipops. If they like cooking - dick shaped cake tin. It will be used once then hidden away. Adult board games... Just go in an adult store and grab something shallow and silly.

Some nice scented massage oils. Classy, yet can lead to sexy times.
