If you've had one tramadol, taking another is a bad idea.

Make yourself a heat pack out of rice or dried beans and an old sock or two. Put it in the microwave on high for approximately 3 minutes and apply it to the area. It will be more effective than a hot bath, and you can re-use it as needed.

I took one at 1PM, which was five and a half hours ago. So I'd be okay to take another one in half an hour. It did help, it has just worn off.

I have electrical heating pads, the kind you plug in. Is a rice one going to be better? And if so why?

Well, for one rice packs aren't continuously using electricity; they're cheaper to make and use in the long run. For another, they're generally easier to mold to your body and provide a localized heat source. Lastly, if you fall asleep with a rice heat pack on, you don't run the risk of burning yourself in your sleep.

Pharmacy person here. Sometimes people take two Tramadol at one time. So taking another single pill after having had one other single pill is not a problem.

Two tramadol on their own would likely not be an issue for someone who developed a degree of resistance to opioids. However, two tramadol after naproxen and acetaminophen is not a good idea, especially considering elsewhere in the thread they were speaking about feeling dizzy and zonked out; there is always respiratory depression to take into consideration if someone isn't overly resistant to tramadol.

Beyond that, I'd worry more about liver stress and GI irritation.

For what's most likely just muscle stiffness that will subside on it's own, that degree of medication is almost certainly overkill.

Giving advice over the internet when you don't know this person's medical history or what other drugs they may or may not be taking is highly irresponsible. This is how techs get fired and pharmacists lose their license, fool.
