(Anonymous) 2016-04-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)I was hoping for the more faithful adaptation, and so I'm still unpacking how I feel about it. The Mowgli stories are some of my very favorites and I just wish that someone, somewhere, would do something cooler with them than Disney has.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-22 01:00 am (UTC)(link)Honestly I'd just like to see an adaptation that *doesn't* involve Shere Khan. He's in like three of the stories (and no one ever adapts How Fear Came so it's really only two), there are more than that! I'd love to see an adaptation that covers the letting in of the jungle or the red dogs.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-22 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)Although, I will confess that I never actually read the Mowgli chapters - I've read The White Seal and Rikki Tikki Tavi [both of which received a very well done adaptation by Chuck Jones]
