??? So if someone publicly (and by publicly, I don't mean yelling from a street corner with a megaphone, just enjoying things in their day to day life) likes something that you consider 'geeky', they're embarrassing you?

You talking about fandom clothing and accessories, or people shouldn't mention that they like fandom stuff in public in general?

Either way, I don't see the problem. There's some really cool and creative fandom merchandise out there (I saw a Groot t-shirt while shopping the other day and it made me smile) and people like talking about their interests, fandom or otherwise.

I mean, don't print out and shove your gay smut in random strangers faces, but other then that.
