GOD I KNOW. I remember when kink memes were still a thing and drenched in filth. Now it's all "fade to black" scenes and shit. Although it's nice that the concept of consent has gained attention, I feel that it's done in such a way to deter people with specific kinks (noncon, dubcon, powerplay, etc.) from contributing to fandom, without fear of being shouted down (or in this day and age, a call out post). There was a time where people understood that just because someone has a kink for something in fiction, does not necessarily mean that they act it out in real life. Now it's like if you have any predilections towards power discrepancies you're automatically the devil.
