I love the Little Mermaid, Mulan, and Aladdin.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame would have been better if they cut out those stupid gargoyles. Also, moar Clopin pls.

Pocahontas and John Smith were both bland and boring. The secondary characters were far more interesting. Except for that fucking racoon. That thing needed to become a hat.

The Princess and the Frog needs more love. Lottie stole the show. That should be the next movie Disney turns into a stage play, but it won't. :(

Lilo and Stitch also needs more love. 'Cause that little girl made it rain on my face.

I was so pleasantly surprised bt Lilo and Stitch. It had passed me by, but then a friend got me to watch it on DVD and I had no idea! Just the little things like Lilo explaining that her rag doll is sad because she's dying from insect eggs in her brain...

'Pudge controls the weather.'

Then you learn her parents died in a rainstorm...

The way she throws the doll down when the other girls leave her, then runs back to pick it up and clutch it.

'The manager was a vampire.' 'I knew it!'

God, but I love that movie so much.

You have good taste in Disney.

The Princess and the Frog was actually the last traditional Disney film I even liked. Tangled and Frozen were both bad.

Frozen was ok, but I thought Tangled was so paint by numbers. It's cute, but there was nothing really original about it. And Eugene was obnoxious.

I have hopes for Moana. Lin Manuel Miranda contributed to the score.

Completely agreed on The Princess and the Frog. I never hear about that one but Tiana is my favorite Disney princess. She and Lottie are wonderful.

Lilo and Stitch too. Lilo is the most adorable little girl ever.

Tia's not my favorite, but she's pretty good. I like her better when she's interacting with the other characters. That showed both her good and bad parts a lot better than just having someone say 'she works too hard.'

Aladdin still looks so pretty all these years later.

I can't watch Princess and the Frog without being irritated. Same with Brave for that matter. I hate to say Disney doing "different" is outside their comfort zone, but I really wish they had thought more about those two.

Aladdin has a good body. And I love Jasmine's character design. I think she's the prettiest of the princesses.

Jasmine is gorgeous.

I'll always be partial to 'Aladdin'. Saw that one in the theater when it came out, and I practically wore out the VHS tape when I was little. I always loved the Genie.

I wanted Brave to be... I don't know, richer than it was? More mystical? Something. I love the concept but the tone was sort of odd.

I really hate the fact that in order to have a mother/daughter tale where someone listened, you had to mute one of the party for about 40 minutes. I would have had Merida and Elinor get stuck in the wilderness somehow - maybe separated on some kind of trip from a hunting party by Mor'du, and so the remaining clans would go out to look for them while also avoiding a giant demon bear while the women learned about each other.

I love Princess and the Frog, especially the music, which is interesting because I usually find the music the LEAST exciting thing in Disney movies.
It can't ever be a stage play though because Prince died and he's the ONLY person who could ever play Dr. Facilier.

Lilo and Stitch were one of those movies I didn't like as a child, but REALLY enjoyed as an adult. I can sympathize DEEPLY with poor Nani desperately trying to be an adult (and a PARENT) when it's obvious she's still very young and in grief herself. Like, when Nani finally has her meltdown because Lilo is missing and she's surrounded by aliens and EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG, my heart goes out to her so hard.

Plus, I feel like it's one of the Disney movies I can really connect with because there are things like unemployment and social workers involved. I feel like that movie is a good sum up of imperfect people trying the best they can, and that really moves me.

Oh, Nani is a great character. She tries so hard and she's so vulnerable. Forget Elsa and Anna, Nani and Lilo are superior sisterhood.

Yeah. I mean, I liked Anna and Elsa okay (it actually helped give me some insight into things with my brother, since I was DEFINITELY the Elsa of the family) but Nani and Lilo are way more relatable to me.

Plus let's be honest those watercolor backgrounds are LUSCIOUS.
