I like Amara. I like that God has a sister (God knows the church changed portions of the bible referencing the female apostle. a little blasphemy is well-deserved). I like that she's darkness instead of creation for once: I'm tired of women being typecast as creators and nurturers all the time.

The one thing I don't like is that Dean isn't able to control his own body around her, but I think there's a deeper purpose to that as foreshadowed by the most recent episode [SPOILER....






....] see, Sam said he's afraid Dean is going to choose Amara over him. But I think in the final cusp, under some critical scenario, Dean's love for his brother will make it possible for him to resist the bond magic and choose Sam, and thus possibly save the Universe. Wouldn't it be cool if for once, just once, their love for each other worked for them instead of making them mess everything up?
