Buchanan is a surname of Scotch origin, so I sort of assumed Bucky was at least some degree Scottish.

Kenneth is a good name that's a Scottish form of an originally Irish name, common all over the British Isles and Ireland, and popular in the US-- top 100 there from 1898-2001, top 30 1914-1973.

Donald is similar, top 100 1895-1990, top 30 1912-1970.

Gordon is used as a given name the same way as Buchanan, top 100 1911-1943, although it peaked at 70 in 1935.
