Ha! Yes, I feel your pain, OP. Sometimes I'll read fic and marvel at how well it's written in terms of description and dialogue and the prose is fantastic... but if it weren't for the names I wouldn't recognize the characters at all. On the one hand it's brilliant that people have such imaginative concepts for the inner lives of their favorite characters, but on the other hand I'm not sure they see it as I do... really really OOC.
