LOL at that guy's face. But good for him killing the guy with the beard!

:side-eye:

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, you really hate beards.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-13 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Lucretia was out of her goddamn mind, so no, she didn't go out on her own terms wtf

that said I loved every minute of it

(Anonymous) 2016-05-13 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That looks more like a spear than a sword.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-13 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! This.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-13 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just glad for what his death means to all the mra turd-blossoms who treat him like "Muh poor male victim!"

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well, considering Lucretia repeatedly raped him, I'd say yes, he is a victim.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
People like her either don't think male rape is a thing or that it's social justice in action

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
I like her as a character, and I'm a normal sane person so I don't think either of those things. I just like a good villain.

Yeah, I was also super happy when the guy who was broken by slavery from childhood on and decided to fight back the only way he knew, got murderered by the very people who did that to him in the first place. Such a good moment of divine justice. /sarcasm

Srsly, I hope you are a troll. I understand morally disagreeing with some of the things Crixus did, but actually rooting for the Romans in this show is pretty fucked up. Also, calling the way Lucretia totally lost her mind "on her own terms" is more than a little weird.

I like to think Lucretia was watching from heaven and laughing when Crixus got his head cut off.

[personal profile] ypsilon42 2016-05-14 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Why? Like, I am 90% sure you are a troll, but I would actually really like an honest answer to this.

I like Lucretia, she is a fantastic character. Generally I think that the villains on that show were excellent, because the writers managed to give them depth and vulnerabilities and weaknesses and that would make you root for them occasionally. But I what I really really do not get is how there are people who are willing to side with literal slave owners over the people they enslaved and abused?

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not a troll, I just liked Lucretia so I didn't like it when people abused her.

So when those characters, like Crixus and Ashur, suffered gruesome fates, it made me happy.

I started rooting for the Romans when Crixus started murdering innocent people for shits and giggles.

Because a traumatized man lashing out justifies a system of slavery that traumatized him in the first place? I agree that some of the things he did were wrong and his experiences are not an excuse, but they are an explanation. Also Crixus being wrong does not justify or excuse the Romans for being slavers.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I rooted for Caesar who was a pretty cool guy.

Spartacus himself generally stayed pretty much in "good guy" territory (though there were a couple times he crossed the line for me, I'm pretty sensitive) But Crixus and his girlfriend seriously sucked, I was pretty pleased when they died.

But I also felt bad for some of the Romans. That kid who had to watch his best friend get stoned to death because his dad was a cunt, seriously, not cool. I know he went on to be a bad guy, but you kind of see why he went nuts. And when Crixus and Co. decided it was cool to murder everyone, it was hard to know who to root for.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
I feel like this secret and like three of the comments agreeing are all the same troll anon. Too baitey and try-hard.

I guess Lucretia did deserve to get her head smashed open on a bunch of rocks as she fell though.

Granted, Crixus was kind of a bad person and I think he also "deserved" his death, but seriously, Lucretia can go fuck herself.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Op here, I've only made one comment.

Ask case to check the ips.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Unless the baby cushioned her fall.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
I have to imagine that given the height her death was probably immediate. Whereas Crixus suffered in his final moments.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
She didn't die the second she started falling. Given the height she probably had time to process that she was dying and her baby with her. Hardly going out on her own terms. Which is satisfying.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
She was going to be reunited with her husband.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-14 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
She jumped off on her own accord. How is that not her own terms?
