Re: Fandom Rants
The Grand Tour.
Stupidest name for a car show ever. It sounds like they're doing a 19th century travelogue. Or a travelogue being hosted by old ladies. Idon't keep up with the former tg fandom but I'm sure they love it.
Just realised GT is the reverse of TG. Although technically, it will be TGT. God I hope thats not why they chose it.

Evokes world travel? Yeah. Okaaayyy. Because soooo many people today are even aware of the touring traditions of wealthy young men (and tbh, I was actually thinking about young women travelling) back in the day. And I have to say bwuh? to the name Top Gear being testoserone filled (pretty sure Sabine Schmitz might disagree). Egotistical, perhaps.
OMG, touring car? Pretty sure only my grandparents generation would even recognize that term. This is a world wide show that needs a name that's going to appeal world wide. If this was a brand new show with new hosts, "The Grand Tour" wouldn't've been considered, at least not seriously.
I don't think it'd be that much of a challenge to think up a more energetic name that doesn't use the initials TG/GT and that is also concise.
