I did not know this was a thing. I really wish I still didn't. I made the mistake of looking. Horrifying. I guess I just need even an attempt at characterization in my porn. I was done when, even when I tried to click on consensual things, it ended up with Glorfindel and Elrond raping Legolas. WTF?

Ugh. Yeah, not going to try this.

In porn, I usually have a tipping point when it comes to OOC-ness: if something is out of character technically but the character is NOT actualy explicitly described as someone who is a 180 from the porn characterization, I'm okay with it.

When they ARE described as such, though, the canon description usually just hammers repeatedly into my head as I'm reading the porn, producing the most surreal effect.

For me, they have to be at least vaguely recognizable. If they have canon characters names but have no relation to anything the canon characters would do, then it just throws me out of the story.

So, it's trollfic?

I don't think so. It looks like one of those round robin type fics where a lot of the chapters have been added by different people and you gotta assume that some of them are being genuine (although, of course, that means that some of them could also be trolling. idk how well vetted some of the people were)

It actually doesn't seem to be trollfic, it's like...totally OOC extreme-porn idfic. You can tell the authors don't give a shit about characterization but they aren't deliberately trying to be OOC and offensive either, they just want to write extremely kinky literotica-type shit.

Please. It's LOTR-era Legolas slash fic. You're looking at the classic woobie!Legolas and the vilification of any and all characters to make him the biggest and most abused woobie ever. It's where the evil!Thranduil thing began.

Errrr...is he all that woobie-ish though? In the chapters I read (admittedly it grossed me out so much I blocked out some of the details) his portrayal was much more like "ewww omg what an utterly disgusting filthy slut."
