Wheaton is an utter asshole who hates his fans, hates sci fi in general, hates video gamers, hates when people want accountability in journalism (it's somehow sexist? What?), declares he knows what's best for women better than women do and somehow calls himself a feminist, drinks from a "male tears" mug, and blocks anyone who calls him on his bullshit.

He literally plays himself on Big Bang Theory--assholish, manipulative, shitting on his fans--and has no sense of insight about it.

It is, and I hate how people turned the actual purpose into a punchline. There's not even anything laughable or twistable about the purpose so they had to resort to a sarcastic tone in order to decry it.
