True, there is an increasing polarization and intolerance of divergent viewpoints (and being intolerant being seen as a good thing).

You can see that with all the college protests against other student clubs having speakers some kids don't like. There have been studies on the increase of polarization due to the internet (being able to immerse yourself in news sources that support your viewpoints, surrounding yourself with likeminded people) versus IRL where you have to deal with all the differing people.
