Sorry herp but I have a gripe!

Busy city streets right? FUCK people who smoke and walk in busy packed city streets! No matter how I position myself this persons smoke was blowing into my fave and it's too packed to jog to get in front of them! Then! Then!!! They stuck their hand out and gave it a shake and the ashes blew straight into my face and had the nerve to look offended when I said "hey watch it!" No apology, just a grunt!

Now everything smells like ash and my face feels gritty no matter how I wash it and I couldn't see any in my hair so hope it's clear.

But fuck you asshole. Fuck you!

I lost a ring and it really bugs me :(

This is a legitimate gripe.

Smokers who don't obey smoking laws should have their cigarette buying rights revokes.

I feel really anxious and edgy and bad and I think I might just burrow under the covers

I can't stand idiots who don't wear helmets when on motorcycles. I wish I could yell loud enough out my car window about how fucking stupid they are.

I also hate it when they wear T-shirts or less! That's just asking to get your skin scraped off. I have a friend who got hit by a car while on her bike and got knocked off and slid along the street. She only had bruises, but she was wearing kevlar (and a helmet).

My uncle died in a motorcycle accident because he wasn't wearing a helmet so I feel pretty strongly about it.

I'll see your t-shirts and raise you sandals. Why on earth do people not even want to protect their toes if they have to get their foot down quickly? I wouldn't even ride a bicycle in sandals, let alone a vehicle that's going to be going a bare minimum of 50km/h on the streets near where I live.

ARGH terrifying!

My pet peeve is people walking on the wrong side of the road, especially at night/while wearing dark clothing/with children. My dad had a friend in high school who was hit by a car and died (while they were in high school, so, a teenager) while walking on the wrong side of the road and not watching traffic.

I definitely feel you on the helmet thing too, but I get more of an emotional reaction from the walking thing, for the same reason as you :(

Ugh that's the worst! I hate running in to smokers on the street.

I got a letter from Medicare to tell me they've kicked me off the QMB because I make too much money. Yeah, I make just enough money to not be below the poverty line, but not enough money to cover the medical expenses the QMB was helping with.

I have a hard time seeing bureaucrats as human.

I got kicked off my medical coverage, too. The cheerful young lady on the phone kept telling me that if I just worked less hours and made less money, I could get full coverage again. I think this is what Republicans mean when they talk about the creation of a permanent welfare class--if you never rise to just above the limit, how can you ever be promoted to a point where you can cover all your needs?

No, what Republicans mean when they talk about a permanent welfare class is "people getting money and benefits," full stop.

Man, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that... and also intensely sympathize. (Me getting 'promoted' from Medicaid to Medicare was actually a minor disaster, because I stopped getting necessary services covered.)

Ugh yeah that is awful, and fucking rude tbh. It's one of the downsides to going into town because some asshole is going to blow smoke in my face as I walk past or behind them, blargh.

My gripe isn't as bad as that but I got the nastiest look from an old-lady today on the train when I said 'excuse me' so I could get past her to get off, she didn't even move she just glared at me until I went down to the other door. She was right in the way, what did she expect? Me to be able to apparate out onto the platform?

someone on this comm is just all about shouting their hatred for everything "MRA" today and it's annoying as fuck. I don't like them either, but I don't obsess and wallow in my hatred for them.
