This is actually what I dislike most about SU fandom. It's a kid's show. That's FINE and there's nothing wrong with loving it and fandoming for it. You don't need to try and play it up that it's ~more important~ than that to justify your interest.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-16 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)You look at the Tumblr blogs of some of these people, and you can tell right away they're trying to fill some kind of void in their lives, and the obsession gradually turns into a black hole that they try to pin their entire identity around.
It happened with the Bronies, it happened with weeaboos back in the early-to-mid 00's, and it happens with things like Disney movies/theme parks or video games.
