Christ, yes. I'm scared people will find some of my old writing on the subject of kink and come after me. Literally my strategy is just stay quiet and hope nobody notices I exist.

That CANNOT be a sign of a healthy environment.

Yes. Is it from fandom getting more transparent from the outside, I wonder? Like self policing to prevent others shaming us? We shouldn't though, it is legitimizing viewing female sexuality as a threat to society.

I think people are generally more critical of media from a sociocultural standpoint right now, and they're applying that critique to fandom as well as mainstream media. There seems to be a general attitude that m dis influenced actions, thus any problematic media is inherently harmful.
