Hm, no, fair enough, Cordy's very awesome and that means that any pairing involving her is defensible

Angel/Cordy OTP for life, tbh. I will always love them.

This is i think the only vampire/human relationship I ship, I don't know what it was about them but they pulled at my heartstrings in just the right way.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I just wish they'd had a chance to actually be a pairing.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god, I loved them. I might actually stay bitter about what wound up happening FOREVER

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Angel.txt tbh

(Anonymous) 2016-06-20 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, agreed. I was so bitter that the writers couldn't even let her actually say the L-word in her last episode.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Agree about Spike/Dru, totally.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I disliked the episodes of Buffy I tried to watch, so I never got into that show. I gave Angel a try and liked it well enough, so I ended up being all about the Cordelia/Angel and not caring at all about Angel/Buffy. Oops?

(Anonymous) 2016-06-19 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That's okay, Angel/Buffy was never going to be for keeps anyhow. Far too much DRAH-MAH.

I really liked post-high school Cordy. But I was also very very Spike/Buffy despite the fact that it was still not a very healthy relationship for either of them.

They were my OTP out of the entire cast (both Buffy and Angel), so you're not alone. :)

I didn't realize Angel/Ckrdy shippers existed tbh. ( I like them both, but as friends. It's been a long time since I saw the show, though!)

What did the people who ship it like about them.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-20 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Can't call myself a hardcore Angel/Cordy shipper, although I did like the two of them together a lot. Part of that is probably a reaction to the ridiculous angstorama over-the-topness of Buffy/Angel. I liked that Cordy and Angel had started a relationship as friends, and I loved Angel in his own series, where he finally seemed to grow a real personality. The two of them just seemed to work together well as people who actually cared about each other. Felt more like a real-world thing rather than a romance novel thing.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-20 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's why I liked them, too. On hs own show, Angek got to be less serious all the time and reveal his goofy side. Cordy got to go through some challenges and prove herself. They both got more interesting. I liked that they started as friends and teamates. I also like their pragmatic approach to things. "If I ever go evil..." "Oh, I'll kill you dead." It wasn't super serious heavy-duty angst with them.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-20 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oh hey, I don't remember making this secret!

God, I shipped them like a freight train. I may not care for how that storyline played out, but they had the best dynamic and great chemistry.

Also, Spike/Dru 5eva!

(Anonymous) 2016-06-20 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Can't speak for anyone else, but I loved that Cordelia took absolutely NO crap from Angel - especially when he went into full drama-queen mode - and he was a lot more tolerable as a result.

And this pairing was such a NOTP for me. I really didn't like Cordy on Buffy, and I never could warm up to her on Angel. Angel/Cordy and Xander/Cordy were two of my biggest NOTPs alongside Giles/Buffy. I did love Spike/Dru, though. Although I also love Spike/Buffy. And Spike/Angel. And Angel/Buffy.

I loved them too. They grew into eachother; it was a beautiful relationship.

God damn your cold metal heart, Joss Whedon.

(Anonymous) 2016-06-21 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Same. There were couples I cared about at the time but this was the only one that stuck. I still love them. (And I'm still bitter.) They grew into each other and with each other. They genuinely made each other better. They were good. They could have been happy. I guess that's why they ended so tragically. Nobody was ever allowed a happy ending in that universe.
