I didn't realize Angel/Ckrdy shippers existed tbh. ( I like them both, but as friends. It's been a long time since I saw the show, though!)

What did the people who ship it like about them.

Can't call myself a hardcore Angel/Cordy shipper, although I did like the two of them together a lot. Part of that is probably a reaction to the ridiculous angstorama over-the-topness of Buffy/Angel. I liked that Cordy and Angel had started a relationship as friends, and I loved Angel in his own series, where he finally seemed to grow a real personality. The two of them just seemed to work together well as people who actually cared about each other. Felt more like a real-world thing rather than a romance novel thing.

That's why I liked them, too. On hs own show, Angek got to be less serious all the time and reveal his goofy side. Cordy got to go through some challenges and prove herself. They both got more interesting. I liked that they started as friends and teamates. I also like their pragmatic approach to things. "If I ever go evil..." "Oh, I'll kill you dead." It wasn't super serious heavy-duty angst with them.
