Re: Shows that you feel were screwed over

I always thought that Heroes got really screwed over by the 2007 writer's strike. It made for a such a weird season and nothing made sense because they were clearly trying to start new storylines while also realizing "oh fuck, we only have 13 episodes."

Which isn't to say it still might not have gone downhill. But the writer's strike might have hastened it.

Ha, I said Heroes too. (AYRT BTW.) Yeah, I think the writer's strike killed it, and it never really recovered, especially as I believe a lot of the writers quit.

I mean, I DO think the premise of Heroes was bigger than itself. I think they pandered to Sylar fangirls, and I also think they would've been better off keeping the hero pool smaller and more connected. I was honestly disappointed in season two when they weren't really working together.

Heroes suffered the most from the writer's strike. I think Lost suffered a little bit but did anyone even watch the fourth season of Heroes?

Season 3 of Heroes was so completely different compared to seasons 1 & 2 that I felt like I was watching a different show. I think they kept changing the backstory to make it more complicated too.

NA - interesting, I always thought Lost was improved by the writer's strike, at least for that 4th season. Since they had to have a shorter season, it forced them to get rid of any extraneous plot points.
