HBO's Rome and Deadwood (and I agree on Carnivale, too)! I was enjoying the hell out of Deadwood, and then it just ended. I know there was talk about a movie to tie up loose ends, but it's been too long now to be done.

And Rome is one of my absolute favorites. When HBO decided to axe it, it was when people had just found the show, the ratings were good, and the writing was really good. When the show runners knew they were getting cancelled, they piled way too much in the end of the series just to finish story lines. I rewatch the series every year, and it always makes me mad that the stories were truncated. And that I didn't get to see more Vorenus and Pullo!

I kind of wished they had just finished out S2 as it should have been and left the story unfinished than trying to cram a whole other season's worth of plot into a few episodes.
