My mother has gotten into it, which I find adorable. I came home last night to the sound of "Gah! How do I catch this thing!" and caught her in the corner of the computer room trying to snare an Eevee. She then told me to hurry up and eat, because she wanted to check out where the PokeStops were in our neighborhood and needed someone to hold the flashlight while she watched the phone.

That *is* super-cute! I wish my Mom would try new stuff like that, but sadly, no... :(

I had a police officer pull up by me while I was trying to catch a Pokemon. He was like, "You playing that Pokemon game?? I saw you swiping at your screen!" I showed him how to play it so he can give it a try. The PD is a Pokestop so he will always be able to get some Pokeballs.

AYRT

Mom and I had something similar last night. There were a couple police cars conferencing in the parking lot of one of the Pokestops we hit, and the second time we came by it one of the officers drove up to us: "I gotta ask: What are you guys doing?"
"Playing a mobile game."
"Which one?"
"...Pokemon Go."
"*gets on his radio* Yeah, you called it."

That's awesome. I'm still debating getting the game, but I need to focus on packing/moving first and I figure some of the bugs will be worked out by then.

I read there's a police department in Australia that had people wandering in trying to play the game and they had to post on their facebook page "You don't actually have to come inside the police department to get the pokeballs" and I thought "Things you never thought you'd have to post on your work's facebook page..."

How do you people get Pokemon to show up in your houses? I leave the game on at my computer all the time and I've never had one show up.

You can play from computer?

Uh, anyway, I'm not sure, other then using a lure or incense. They probably just live near an area where Pokémon seem to spawn. I wish I did; they're around me, but not where I can easily get to them.

(I did use one of my two incense in my house last night to see if it would attract anything new, because I haven't felt comfortable going out at night, but I do want nighttime Pokémon. I got about five Pokémon, but I don't think any of them were new to me.

I mean with my phone plugged into my computer so the battery doesn't run out.

I live in a very residential area, far from even a Pokestop, and we hardly even get Pokemon nearby, let alone spawning in my house. It's happened once or twice, but I know some people get them all the time. I'm guessing when you're around more Pokestops, there are more Pokemon in general that spawn because they are considered more "hubs"? idk
