What happened to Baelfire on OUAT. Also, I feel like it messed up Rumple's story arc, too.

I think his death signaled the shift that sort of fucked over everybody, even characters with lots of screentime, from a storyline that stretched unbroken from Rumple letting him go to him forgiving his father. It's why imp Rumple flashbacks feel hollow now; everything he did was for his son and now he's dead. There's no consistent story, just oneoff characters and macguffins everywhere.
