In my experience, pretty much the only thing that annoys Irish-Americans and their Irish relatives is how St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in the US. Most of it is cheesy in an okay way, but using "everyone is Irish today" as an excuse to get blackout drunk and fight isn't. Like whatever music you like. That isn't a big deal.
