I have been having a lot of trouble making it work. :( first there were server issues, a ton, some of which have caused my game to crash in the middle. I guess everyone's experiencing that. also charger issues which everyone is also experiencing but it can really hinder gameplay. my biggest bone so far that could be easily solvable is that nearly every time I load the app (which also takes a long time...) I have to sign in again. Really? Seriously? that is a huge pain in the ass and I don't even see an option to stay signed in (if someone points it out to me I will feel stupid but also be very grateful).

Also, I haven't yet wanted to take a ton of time to just wander around looking for shit by myself. I find that very boring. the game is not super stimulating on its own. I like catching Pokemon and i hope to level up and battle and all that, but I have a hard time seeing myself putting hours into the game yet. what do you do while you're waiting for it to calibrate so you can find Pokemon? just...stand there and stare around? :/ (you can't close the app apparently or it will lose everything it's trying to do so playing another game on my phone isn't really an option)
