Yeah, but most of those won't specifically have you racing around a city. I mean, one of the pokemon bf tried to catch, he needed to cross the street like 3 times for. I guess it's less of a problem in parks etc, or less urban neighborhoods, but yeah.

I've never had that problem? Like, if the pokemon shows up, you can catch it, you don't have to walk any closer to it. I've more than once caught a pokemon who's across the street on the map while continuing to walk away from the intersection. Unless I'm missing something because it turns out I am really bad at Pokemon and the only one of my friends who struggled to figure out the features without help.

Huh. I've never had that problem, I've only had one I didn't catch and that was it escaping the pokeball. Everything else I could catch as long as it was on the screen. But I got into it a day or two later than everyone else so maybe I just haven't played enough.

Maps probably vary on where you are.

No. I've been in a car on the highway (not as driver) and still been able to catch Pokemon. You do have to engage it while it's in your radius, but once you're in the "battle" with it, it doesn't matter how far you go away from the original encounter location.

You are actually correct; don't worry, you're not missing anything! :) And yes, a lot of the features are hard to figure out...I do wish they had more explanations/information within the game itself. :/

True.

I really hope this doesn't go in the direction of blaming the app for peoples' carelessness though. Ultimately individuals (or their parents, if they are children) are responsible for looking both ways before you cross the street, being cautious about where you go, etc.
