Re: we always need a confession thread

Much of the reason why I'm a strong advocate for gun control is that I spent most of my high school years fantasizing about shooting up the place. I never did for fear I would be caught and stopped before I was able to, but it wouldn't have been difficult to actually get my self-absorbed, wangsty hands on firearms.

We should have gun control because people fantasize about violence? Are you for real?

glad you've pulled something positive out of that experience, anon!

Yeah, those fantasies are pretty common. What was so weird for me about Columbine was seeing those fantasies played out in real life. It was disturbing.

Yeah, I was always glad I was and identified as a girl, because if I'd been a boy my dad would've taught me that anger was the best response to everything and probably how to shoot guns; hell, when I was bullied he gave me a knife and told me to stab my bullies. I didn't feel like maiming anyone or getting expelled, so I didn't, but I would've been socialized by my dad to be like him if I'd been male and might've had the same mental issues he did rather than my own slightly less spectacular set. He finally went to jail after diving through someone's front window while armed with an assault rifle loaded with armor piercing rounds.
