John Winchester. But fandom haaaaates him so much, I never say it unanon.

Yes. I love John. At least early seasons John who was still not a great father but was a complicated, interesting character who was trying to do the right thing. Then they decided to get rid of complicated.

Kenny from the Telltale TWD game. Yes, he's imperfect. Yes, he's meant to be a polarizing character. Yes, he fucks up a lot.

But he's literally the most developed character in the entire thing, and also the most complex. I will love him forever.

Kenny reminds me a lot of some of the male figures at my old school, guys who were kind of semi-father figures to me. So I like him for that.

I think that's what he's supposed to be, really. An imperfect father figure, but damn it he's trying.

People hate Kenny?? I've only gone thru chapter 1 of season two, but I loved him in season one.

Oh my fuck, the number of people who hate Kenny. It's huge.

Ahhhh, Kenny. Even though he was kind of a dick at times, I still like Kenny.

Riley Finn from Buffy, and Regina Mills and Killian Jones from Once Upon A Time. (Only pariahs in certain parts of the fandom, Once can be pretty polarizing) In fact, Regina and Killian are my favorite characters on Once.

I love Riley. I think a lot of the hate comes from people completely misinterpreting his problems with Buffy as being "baaaaaaw! She's stronger than mmeeeee My manliness is damaged!"

Eh, I think that was definitely one of the problems he had in his relationship. But it was a bit more complex than that, in that it was 'She's stronger than me, and I am no longer on steroids and my whole life turned out to be a lie, and therefor she doesn't need me. My manliness is damaged and I am not important."

I liked Riley, too. I only started watching around the time he came along, so I had no Buffy/Angel shipping baggage. (I had started watching Angel's show first, actually, and preferred him there and not over with Buffy.)

I really hated Riley on first watch, but I was all of nine years old when the final episode of Buffy aired, so at the time I wanted the 'cool' vampire boyfriends and not 'boring' humans.

Well as I only choose to be around people who hold the same values as me, I think I am.

Sugar Kiper from Survivor: Gabon. As the game, went on, she got pretty savvy. It's just that winning wasn't the most important thing to her.

How can people even hate her, I loved Sugar

Can I choose characters that are pariahs except for one overwhelming ship? If so, I choose Clint Barton NOT paired with Coulson. Also Clint Barton as characterized by the MCU. I wish more people didn't completely ignore his family.

I love MCU!Clint, and thought his family was adorable. I also want all the Clint/Laura/Natasha fic.

I like the idea of him being the person on the team who has the closest thing to a normal life. I also thought the fight in Seoul showed off what an excellent pilot he was.

All my SNK/AOT ships. Eren/Annie, Mikasa/Levi, Erwin/Nile, Eren/Historia, Annie/Bertholdt, Jean/Sasha. None of them I would describe as "pariahs" but I definitely keep a lot of my shipping preferences on the down low.

Anakin Skywalker from the Prequels. The Prequels in general really. I love them. I don't care.

I think Denethor is actually a very interesting character. The movie ruined him and has led a lot of people to hate him and not understand his character.

Bruce/Natasha in the MCU. I just want them to be happy, and I think they could be with each other, in spite of the issues.
