nayrt - poor thing :( A cat I used to babysit was about 20 also, and the little guy was just not all there. But he wasn't in pain or anything, and he ate okay, but couldn't really control his bowel movements at all and never seemed to notice that he'd walk around covered in poop. The family would diligently clean him off daily. He was very beloved, but clearly very old.
