While I'm happy to agree that a lot of fic writers have never had sex, I wouldn't discount a number of people who are into the described. Like, somebody forcefully kissing somebody being described as gentle tongue teasing would be equally out of place.

Yeah... you're both looking too hard. It's really easy to create confirmation bias when so many of the characters are actually ambiguous. Some people (including me) don't think Amethyst looks black. Then again, some people think she and Opal both do. Ruby, Sapphire, and Jasper are all pretty maybe/maybe not. You're just choosing which ones you want to be "black" so you can find something negative and stereotypical about them.
