I know a lot of girls who do because they're self conscious about their thighs - some of them are also overweight and it's kinda uncomfortable to have your thighs rub together like they tend to do if you're not super skinny.

I think what they meant to say is that talc is linked to ovarian cancer, so they are suggesting corn starch as a substitute.

Just because talc is linked to ovarian cancer doesn't mean every woman who touched talc gets ovarian cancer.

You can get it at a sporting goods shop that caters to runners. Slick it on your thighs like deodorant and it doesn't wear off until you shower. Plus, it won't give you cancer or get all over your floor.

I am skinny and my thighs rubbing together is uncomfortable if I have stubble on my thighs. I have a pair of these sort of no-show ladies briefs for these situations, but they're not real shorts that could be worn alone (my dresses tend to be clingy so a lot of things would show through). I don't use them if I'm either freshly shaved or the hair has gotten longer.

Same. I mean, I know people do wear shorts under skirts, but it's not something I've ever done and I don't think I've seen anyone do it in my area. Though once I did wear full-length leggings under a miniskirt, so maybe that sorta counts?
