Does nobody in this thread deal with chub rub? Because that's literally why I wear bike/yoga shorts under skirts/dresses. It also does look cute as hell.

Seriously, though.

I use powder for my chub rub. Most shorts don't go down far enough to help with that anyway.

I do, but I don't think it's a problem everyone deals with. If I could wear skirts without shorts, I absolutely would; I'd just be 900% more vigilant about slapping it down in a breeze. /life in the windy city

Sure? But that's what powder is for. I dunno, my thighs touch and rub together, but unless i'm sweating buckets, it's just not a thing.

I wear leggings under skirts and dresses a lot because 99% of skirts and dresses for sale right now are made for anyone 5'2 and under and honestly they're just 'slightly long shirts' on me.

Sheer nylon tights are enough. I've only ever worn hotpants under my skirt once and that was for a dance performance.

Not me. And my thighs are quite large; I think my saving grace is that my hips are wide enough that they don't really rub together. :-)

My thighs touch but it only really bothers me if it's extra hot out and at that point I'd rather suffer the pain than add another layer.

I definitely rub and get rashes. I'm not overweight, but my thighs are large and rub against one another when I walk. I don't know if it's my stride or what, old jeans and such tend to get holes in the "thigh rub" area before anywhere else.

Anyway, I always wear boxers or leggings under skirts. I really don't know how people go without.

I've got really chubby thick thighs that wear out the inside fabric of my jeans in the winter. But I wear skirts/dresses all summer and no irritation from my thighs rubbing together. Dunno why, just never bothered me.

I got 3 lifesavers: anti-chafing gel, talc or baby oil.

A little but not enough to be a big problem. And I don't wear skirts often, so meh

Alas, I'm a fatty, but most of my chub is around my equator, so to speak. I wear skirts because in pants I look like Humpty Dumpty's sister. It has to be really humid and hot and gross before chub rub becomes a problem for me, and then I get out my bike shorts. But then, I'd much rather have Hartmann hips, thunder thighs, and a gigantic ass than a huge belly and no waist. Maybe if I wasn't so round I'd actually wear pants.

25 years ago, nope. But well, now that I'm 40, and I've put on some weight over the years, yeah, there's chub rub. But bike or yoga pants are in mostly too thick fabrics (or too synthetic) to wear comfortably under skirts, so I splurge on really thin knee-length capri-leggins made of silk. Those ones, in fact. And yeah, they're supposed to be mid calf, but nope, with my legs they just barely cover my knees. Which is great, because that's the shortest I wear in skirts/dresses anyway.

And having different colours to choose from is nice, and them being made of silk makes them barely noticeable. No sweating/feeling too hot in those! They are expensive, but worth every cent. Also, twice a year this shop gives 25% off everything, so I buy them then. *g*

I almost never wear skirts at all. It's probably been over a year, or even two, since I've worn one. I think I own only two skirts.
