16. I lol'd because it's true. Especially in the character-design department. Sometimes I really wonder why Obata made Matt's design so complex and Near's so simple--I mean, did he just not feel like drawing much, so he just gave Near PJs? (He did say he liked Mello best....lawl biased artist is biased.)

23. Seriously? I always sort of poked fun at him and his tendency to think everything's related to drugs...but then again I haven't read much of the manga, I just rewatched the anime about a million times back in the day.

Come on, we all know that Sensui was tapping Itsuki. I consider them canon.

And although I've never really liked Sensui he was necessary to develop Yusuke's character, and to make the demon-human divison more grey and less black and white.

Well, I felt the same way about a little show called Farscape. it got canceled, and I was a little depressed for a while, but it happens, and you have to get over it. It's not like it's gonna completely cease to exist. There are the DVDs, and the fandom. And sometimes, if you wait long enough, things that are food enough come back eventually. Sometimes I think about when Lost ends, and I know that it'll be okay, because at least it's going to have the chance to end the way it was meant to, and that's good enough for me.

I just have to say this about the LJ situation: I've rarely seen this much wtf since reading Kafka's The Trial.

9: I think you probably overdramatise the situation a little; I suspect that your friends wouldn't care much. I does sound like you think skinny equals pretty, though. Fat can sometimes hide beautiful features, but it's really not always the case, you know, and just being skinny is no guarantee eiher.

18 That's some martyr complex you've got there! If you stop concentrating on yourself and what others think of you, and start focusing on your friends, the things you have in common, and the topics at hand, your company will generally be more appreciated.

All lolarious comments about being inspired to a career by a manga character aside, I say go for it! When he's not being played as a patsy for laughs against D he shows incredible strength of character. Many of the chapters where he's set up in these moral dilemmas, he just comes through shining with this determination to serve and protect people (HIS people, not D's) no matter how tough the circumstances.

I just re-read PSoH the other day. The episode where Leon confronts the girlfriend of the criminal he killed is really touching. Uh... don't do that, if you do become a cop. Seriously.
