Text: I just bingewatched this show because it was released on netflix. I feel terrible because it is such an amazing show but I never watched it live and it was canceled because people didn't watch. :(

Sorry about the text. It looks way more squished than it was originally for some reason.

Of all the things in the world to feel guilty about. IDGI.

I've had this happen with other shows and understand what you mean. But the shows I didn't get around to watching before they were cancelled were all heavily promoted and I've never heard of this, so I wonder if lack of publicity maybe played a role? I can also think of a few shows that didn't release on Netflix or anything before a second season started and so their ratings just kept falling before the show was cancelled, sometimes before finishing the second season. Audiences have proven they like to binge watch but also most shows now have season long story arcs so if someone misses one episode, there isn't any point in watching the rest. Encore showings are great and streaming is essential to build an audience.

It was a mid-season replacement, with a short season (4 and 5 weeks, 2 episodes per week), both seasons. It was basically fighting against its own schedule.

I watched Galavant live and loved every second of it, easily one of my top feel-good shows and I'm glad to hear it's on Netflix because I think I might just watch it all over again. :)

Well you're enjoying it now!

I loved this show so much :(

Galavant was close to being high concept for a TV show, and considering the fantasy genre is a really hard sell these days, I'm not at all surprised it ultimately failed. At least it managed to make it to two seasons, though.

Aw man I didn't realize it had been canceled :( I watched it live and always looked forward to it. It was the best combination of so many things I like.

You're one view wasn't going to save it. Just enjoy it on Netflix guilt free.

I know what you mean...

I took a hiatus after s1 and when I came back I found out it was canceled.

THE GUILT! I know realistically it wouldn't have mattered, but I feel guilty regardless.

I loved Galavant! That said, I can't be too sad about it being cancelled. It lasted a season longer than I think anyone expected it to, it tied up all the ends it needed to, and, honestly, I have to think that coming up enough songs to fill a season is difficult and I fear it may have started to suffer anyway. Granted, I'd love to see a movie version...

Do you now, or have you ever had a Nielson box? If the answer is "no" then relax, OP.
