Re: Neighbor Advice!
(Anonymous) 2016-09-22 12:04 am (UTC)(link)Though honestly with some older apartment buildings, noise really carries, and while I wish everyone was as considerate as you and kept their noise to a minimum, even playing a TV at a "normal" volume can really carry through the walls.
Re: Neighbor Advice!
The building is relatively new (1994) but I think my neighbor can't hear very well, but that's no excuse. To be fair, if the AC is running, the AC is really loud in your unit, but I can't hear their unit. And it's really frustrating because I just want to sleep in the bedroom! (the first week I slept in the guest room because I didn't have my bed yet and it's quieter there)

A friend's mom had hearing problems at a young age as well and when she was home she had a special amplifier for the TV so that everyone else could watch it normally and she'd be able to hear it (It looked like an old cell phone)
I talked to management today and they said to keep it eye on it over the next week. If she's consistently loud after 10, let him know and he'll send a reminder email of quiet hours to my building. If that doesn't do the trick, call back and we'll figure a solution from there.
