I just saw a post with a bunch of crying emojis on my facebook feed from a woman whose son is getting a "sercumsizion" and she's bummed out because she can hear him crying from the waiting room (the post is tagged #momlove for some reason). bitch, you could have just not gotten him circumcised.

That wouldn't be a good president to set, tho. Kids cry whenever they have to do anything they don't want. A parent can't say "Ok, you're crying, you don't have to get circumcised / clean your room / eat your greens / brush your teeth"

Kids don't like doing things that are boring or unpleasant or otherwise good for them. Parents have to put their foot down on these things. It doesn't mean it isn't unpleasant for the parent.

Right now? My empty inbox and the fact that of the 31 story submissions I have out, only ten of them are in the black on the Submission Grinder. Meaning that 21 of them are either past the average response time, or are past the response time the publication says they strive for. So frustrating. Just reject them already, you know you're going to.

Shit. I think I'd be happy I had completed 31 stories to submit somewhere. I have such focus/finishing problems.

There's a lady in two of my classes who is LITERALLY ALWAYS bitchy about everything she says, and extremely affronted by basic expectations for people in our cohort/position/field, and right now I'm annoyed with her.

Cutting vinyl at work. We got a new machine to do it and I hate it.

Whoever keeps leaving empty tupperware in the fridge.

When there's an article about a woman or POC who does something praiseworthy and it gets posted on Tumblr, someone ALWAYS FUCKING has to come in and bite the OP's head off about them not putting her name in the title. Not the full body article, it has to be in the TITLE and if it's not then "SAY HER FUCKING NAME YOU SEXIST RACIST SACK OF SHIT."

It's such an unnecessary and attention-grabbing way to draw focus from what the article's about and piss on something positive for being not good enough. Not to mention, the person posting the article on Tumblr usually isn't even the one who wrote or titled it, they're just spreading the word.

I kinda get that. It's not like they deserve to have their head bitten off, but it's always a little insulting to be known for your group and not as an individual.

I discovered that when my roommates said "let's cook" what they meant was "let's let Ketita cook and sometimes help a little" :|

Ketita will no longer be cooking for the roommates.

That sucks, and so do they. They deserve to have you cook something delicious and eat it all yourself, in front of them, without offering them any.

I'm a tutor. This is what I'm sick of:

I don't know, I think your kid failing math is a little worse than having to play one less game this season.

Uber saying a driver is 10 minutes away, but then when I click for them to come, it says 20 minutes.

Kind of a difference there...

If you're hearing that frequently, it's a sign that maybe you're being a bit lazy and expecting other people to do your homework for you when you could (and should) look things up yourself.

You sound lazy. Quit expecting other people to tell you things that you could literally look up in seconds on your phone.

People who know all of the available choices, but keep postponing and postponing because they don't like any of them. Just make a decision already!

The fact that when I'm doing everything around the house for these elderly gits, they won't show any gratitude for what was already done, they'll always NITPICK AND BITCH about the one thing I didn't do for SAFETY REASONS. HELLO, DO YOU ALL WANT ME TO GET STRUCK BY A TRUCK OR A TRACTOR? DO YOU ALL WANT ME TO GET HIT BY A FALLING LOG FROM CUTTING LARGE BRANCHES FROM A TREE CLOSE TO THE HOUSE? DO YOU WANT DEAD FAMILY MEMBER AND YOUR PRECIOUS TRASH CAN FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL, OR DO YOU WANT ALIVE FAMILY MEMBER AND A DELAY OF TRASH CAN RETRIEVAL UNTIL CONDITIONS ARE SAFE?

...apologies for going on that rant.

When every TV schedule you look at says the show you love is going to be on and when you go to the channel OH HI SHOW YOU HATE TAKING UP VALUABLE TIME SLOT OF SHOW YOU LOVE.

Yes yes, I know, my fault for having cable even though we're in a bumfuck shitty area and we can't really afford subscriptions to shit like Netflix and Hulu and even if we could it's not like new episodes of my show would be on there. You know?
